A Cross to Kill

A Shepherd Suspense Novel

By Andrew Huff

This first edition in the new series combines edge of your seat suspense with some deep questions of morality. Can a man protect his country as a CIA operative and remain a follower of Jesus Christ? Is killing ever justified? How does a man forgive himself for actions of his past?

Don¡¦t we all tend to believe our pastor lived a perfect life before taking the position as head of our church? But the truth is we¡¦ve all had lives before we met Jesus. Before forgiveness and the renewal of the Holy Spirit, life went on. Sins of the past may be forgiven, but would still surprise the congregation. Imagine the surprise at hearing your pastor had killed¡Xmore than once.

The small-town church John Cross pastored knew only the humble young man dedicated to leading them to follow Jesus. Having met Jesus Christ as an adult, and having received his calling as an adult, John had a past to hide. It was one no one in his church would have guessed. It involved being a CIA assassin. As pastor, he is now determined to leave that life behind and to do penance for all the lives he took in his past vocation. We all know that sometimes the old life doesn¡¦t let go so easily. John¡¦s old life came roaring back seeking revenge.

Whether you agree with John Cross and his methods or not, you¡¦ll find this an interesting story with lots to think about. If you¡¦re simply looking for a good adventure story, A Cross to Kill is action packed from beginning to end.
