10 Cleaning Tricks for Company Clean

10 Cleaning Tricks for Company Clean
We've all been there: you get a phone call or a text that says company is on their way. Your house isn't dirty, but it certainly isn't company clean. In this article we are going to explore 10 tricks to having a Company Clean house in less than 15 minutes.

1) Divide and Conquer:
If you have a family or roommates - divide up the tasks that need to be done. Set a 5 minute timer and then you have 5 minutes to double check it is done!

2) Entry Way:
Making sure the entry way is clean - inside and out - is the ideal place to start. This is the place that your guests will see first. Often, the exterior gets neglected and give a bad first impression.

3) Living Area:
If you have a separate living room, this is the room to clean. Make sure you fluff pillows and pick up any clutter. A great trick to gathering clutter faster is to have a lidded basket or box that you can put things in quickly. This is great when you don't have time to put things back in their homes. Make sure your door is dirt free and there aren't any cobwebs lingering around.

4) Kitchen:
Most newer homes have a great room type floor plan. In this case, you will need to make sure that you have your kitchen picked up. Start with surfaces - get them cleared and washed. You may or may not have time to put dishes in the dishwasher. If you do, GREAT! If not, you can try moving the dirty dishes somewhere unseen. Make sure you sweep the floor and take out trash. If you do have time - a quick swipe with a damp mob can brighten up your floor!

5) Bathroom:
Guests will ALWAYS have to use the bathroom. It needs to be swept, trash out, mirror wiped (water and a microfiber cloth are AMAZING!), toilet swished and wiped down. Don't forget to wipe out your sink and counter (use the same mirror washing cloth) and lastly the exterior of your toilet.

6) Common Areas:
This includes any area that a guest can see from your living space or on the way to the bathroom. Quick pick up and a quick vacuum/sweep is a must!

7) If you have time, you can look at the corners and edges of your home and clean off cobwebs. Likely, you won't have time, but just in case you do, DO IT!

8) Cleaning your major appliances:
The exterior of your fridge, microwave, oven, dishwasher are all places that need cleaning. If you have stainless steep, a mixture of vinegar and water will buff away any fingerprints. Was first and then just make sure you buff WITH the grain.

9) Floorboards are also excellent places to clean. If your floorboards are dust/dirt free then it automatically makes your home feel cleaner. If you have more time, then definitely get your floorboards clean!

10) Empty trash receptacles and clean window sills and windows are excellent places to have clean. If you are limited on time, these are the last to worry about, but can make a huge impact.

Make it a great one!
