Warming Scents for Cooler Temps

Warming Scents for Cooler Temps
With every season comes a change in the scents we wear and Fall is no exception. I love it when the temperature begins to cool off. How about you? Plus I’m no longer being chased by the bees looking for the sweet nectar of the flowers I’m wearing in a perfume blend.

Warm and musky oils are used in cool weather perfumes. The likes of scents such as patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood, amber and oakmoss, to name a few. Designers bring luscious aromas into the Fall season with their perfume blends.

Here’s one to be on the lookout for this season:

Gucci Guilty is the perfect blend if you want to indulge in a combination of amber and geranium. We’re talking about two oils in a given perfume that might have at least 30 combinations or more of scents in one blend.

Imagine having the opportunity to create your own blend with the same two essential oils along with a few more added, and find yourself with something somewhat more exotic. Natural perfumes have more of a beauty and wellness component when wearing them.

Amber is said to calm your mind, protect the health of your heart, eliminate pain and increase your circulation. The oil is actually gotten fro the resin of the ancient trees. Amber oil actually has no aroma of its own and it typically combined with other oils such as sandalwood, frankincense or cedar wood.

Amber essential oil has been known to help in reducing stress and anxiety. It’s also been known to help with pain, inflammation and body spasms. Imagine how great you’ll feel being able to spray a mist onto your skin or have an amber scented oil available to run all over your body after a warm shower.

I’ll take that rub down any day of the week.

Now let’s take a look at Geranium essential oil. Commonly used as an element in aromatherapy, geranium oil has many health benefits. Used holistically to treat and improve your physical, mental and emotional health, the Egyptians used it for promoting beautiful and radiant skin.

It’s also been used to treat acne, reduce inflammation, alleviate anxiety and balance hormones. Imagine being able to wear a perfume blend that can possibly handle all of these challenges. With the possibility of promoting emotional wellness, lessening fatigue and uplifting your mood, I’d say this is a wonderful oil to have in your collection.

The Warmness of Amber

Amber is just one of the warm scents known and used in perfume blends for cooling temps and Fall season blends. Amber blends well with myrrh, frankincense, clove, lemon, orange, rose absolute and of course geranium.

That's it for this week.
