Catherine Coulter and J T Ellison have teamed up to write The Brit in the FBI series, all bestsellers. The Sixth Day is the fifth installment. When important political figures begin dying mysteriously, Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are assigned to the case, and are pitted against a ruthless mastermind who is trying to save his dying brother and will stop at nothing to do so. Roman Ardelean is a cyberspace genius and is making deals to sell drones to foreign countries for less than lawful motives. As is Coulter’s style, there is an element of the supernatural, and in this case ties to Dracula.

Anyone familiar to Coulter and Ellison will know that they are master storytellers; the novel is well-written, well-organized, and has enough twists and turns to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Suspense builds throughout, and while readers know who the murderer is, and how ruthless he is, there are also surprises, especially at the end. The authors are skillful when it comes to balancing the good and bad that happens in the story, and the characters have been developed to the point that they seem like old friends. Favorite characters are put in danger, and may not survive.

Although some of the scenarios in the book seem a little far-fetched, they are incorporated into the story in such a way that they are actually believable. This is fiction, after all, and the authors have expertly made the story plausible.

Catherine Coulter fans will love this book. J. T. Ellison fans will love this book. Anyone who appreciates a good thriller will love this book. Bottom line: everyone will love this book.
